First off, I've got slight stumble whenthe motor is under 180 degrees. Once it warms up, I still have the stumble, it just isn't as pronouced. Looking for one problem, I just caused another!!! Well, I've got a 98 and I just killed it after a day of riding around. It all started when I pulled the airbox assembly off. I "did" label the air horns to their respective places and marked the hoses too. Now all she does is give me 8 blinks and then nine. I unplugged a coil too. Don't ask me what for, but I was looking for the two front plugs. How the hell did you even get to those two front plugs!?!?!? Anyway, I buttoned everthing back up and she won't fire. I'm so pissed right now.

You can access the front plugs through the front of the bike take the front mudguard off for a little more room.

I think I got it!!!! Turns out, a wire on the harness right at the brain frayed. That explained the bike stumbling over bumps and why it ran like crap when it was cold. When it "did" heat up the copper expanded and made a better contact. I'll see if I can post some pics....
