Daily rider?

I've spotted a 750FK for sale near me, UK, for a very acceptable price. It has just ben MOT''ed and taxed. It's around 60,000 miles, and is, to be fair, in excellent condition, for a bike that's 34 years old. The thing is I will be riding it everyday, how do we think it will hold up? 30 years ago it would have laughed at a daily commute, but now? What are your thoughts?

 

Mechanically, I would have zero concerns. That engine, if maintained at all, has lots of miles in it. They are solid.

Depending on the condition of your roads, the suspension might be something to update, which it certainly can be.

Electrical, I would confirm and update the Reg/Rect if needed.

I own four of them, so I like them obviously.

They are rather sporty in the riding position. I find it very good, but it could be something to really evaluate depending on the commute.

 

I like the 17" wheels of J/Ks. Exhaust parts are becoming sparse and downpipes an collector boxes in good shape are rare. They were not stainless. They differ wrt exhaust from the earlier G/Hs and for these more aftermarket choices were made. Some stainless.
But basically a very very sturdy and enduring bike - depending on how it was used and looked after.
