My year in France is ending, and I'll be headed back to the US in a month or so. Unfortunately, when I arrive, while I will be able to get my '86 VFR out of storage, I won't have a private garage any more, I'll most likely be parking in a parking garage for an apartment complex.

This is irritating, but better than spending 10 hours a week commuting in SF Bay Area traffic. And safer than commuting through the Santa Cruz Mountains was. The tradeoffs we make, especially when we become parents.

    Anyway...

The bike will need tending to by a mechanic, as I won't have the place to do it. And so I'll be looking for one that will touch a "vintage" bike.

So, this is a bit of a "hello, I'm coming back!", and a bit of "any ideas?"

    So, any ideas?

Welcome back Cotter. Seeing as you will be in the Bay area, you are now going to have to try to make R3 some year.

Fully back, although due to registration issues, the VFR is still parked. :( Might be riding my wife's HawkGT this week, though (we brought it out of storage today).
