Anyone know how to bypass it? (I'm well aware of its safety function thanks. I'm looking for experienced & knowledgeable answers)

Mines failed (no continuity either direction) and I'm tired of starting the bike by jump starting it on a muddy driveway. (Replacing the diode is not an option right now)
Figured it could just work with a jumper wire in the two holes of connector, but that makes no difference..

I have no idea but I think the wire with the diode in it only goes to earth out the starter solonoid circuit. I would go to the starter solonoid work out which wire becomes active when you push the start button then the other wire is the earth wire for the solonoid and you can run a wire from this terminal to earth. Be very careful because now you can start it in gear
