Cluster bulb replacement

Newbie here, and I promise I searched first.


My new-to-me 2004 non-ABS VFR has a couple of burned out cluster bulbs that I'd like to replace. The service manual just lists the cluster bulbs as "led" without further info, at least as I read it. I've found a fair amount of info on here regarding 5th gen cluster bulbs and how to convert them to LEDs, but I can't find much info on this generation.


Any chance the 6th gens use the same bulbs as the 5th gens? If not, can someone recommend a website where I can find replacement bulbs for my bike, or maybe point me toward a more applicable thread on here? TIA.

If I recall correctly the 6th gen bikes have LED's for the instrument panel lights already and I believe they are soldered directly to the instrument panel circuit boards. If you have one that is burnt out, I think.you may have to send the gauges out to be repaired. Thank you both for the info. I ended up taking the bike apart for maintenance and a thorough cleaning job, and the cluster lights do look soldered in. Guess I'll look further into repair if the burned out bulb bugs me too much.

 

SB...check out blue gauges....Pretty affordable and you have a choice of colors for everything from turn signals to high beams to your gauges....I keep on threatening to rip my bike apart and do it but I ride it everyday........
