Volts should be at least 13.5...

Inspect the plug (under the fuel pump) that connects 3 yellow wires from the stator to the R/R for discoloration, melting,or burning.

Sup Poker, I have come to respect Squirrel’s expertise for these bikes, if my numbers vary a little from his, please don’t perceive that as he or I are wrong. Fact is, every battery is a little different, and the numbers can be a little off. I don’t mean 9V vs 14V…

(Sometimes I feel like a drug pusher)

Have a go through for these links Poker.

I have questions to find out where you are, to determine your best path to get to your goal. What exactly is the problem? Is your bike not starting or intermittently starts or something?

sounds like a weak cell in the battery, take it to a auto parts store, and have it tested.

    I had the same problem

    Hey

I had the same problem with my bike.It was 14 V and after a day or 2 it started just being 13 V.And at 5000rpm your volt should be 15V then the regulator starts to let the volts out but the amper keep still rising. This is most defently the bad magnetic field. This is a bad rotor. If you mesure the stator (wires to boddy) and get full ohms then he is okay (between wires should be around 1-2 ohms).

    Best regards

    Gunnar
