I am not sure and hadn't really thought of the matte helmets being harder to clean. I have been looking at the HJC Tribe helmet. I love the look of the flat black helmets. What is yours and do you like it. Another thing I was wondering about it whether or not a mirrored visor would look right on a flat black helmet. I have a mirrored visor for my current helmet and I really like the sunblocking capability and it looks pretty sweet.
My icon is matte black and white. i use honda polish to clean it and it works great, it just takes longer to buff the residue off.
