picked up my vfr 800 a 2 days ago and have about 60 miles on her. coming from a suzuki dl1000k7 it feels small. the bike is much smoother. does not have the thrust of the vstrom, but time will tell. i dropped a tooth on vstrom, but wonder if there is a better way to pick up horsepower without going to the pc 111:
just drop front sprocket 1 tooth to get it as quick as the 5th,, then drive it, and use the rpm all the time..its deceivingly quick bike due to the smoothness..u will say bye bye to any camelbike you meet quite quickly. I had em both....have fun
Hi Ron, good news on your purchase before you do too many miles breaking it in read this report. -=MototuneUSA Motorcycle Performance Roadracing Superbikes & Wild Girls and my personal advice is make sure you have a good average mineral oil in the bike now for the first 1000kms. Good luck.
