brake pads

would like recommendation on brake pads for 86 vfr 750.
metallic,organic,Kevlar,or any other options.
just looking for pads for everyday street riding.Not looking for a race pad that would require having to get heat built up to preform. Thanks ,Gary

 

As with my cars, go with the devil and stick with the metallic. Organic is a much bigger devil and the rest is just a surprise. Run with what you know and trust on a bike.

 

My $.02... EBC 'HH' compound. Have 'em on all of my bikes (except the old Beemer).

 

The Honda OEM pads will last longest FWIW.

 

"Last longest" usually means less braking power, dunnit ?? If i want brakes that stop hard, how long the pads last is not so important.

Be sure to thoroughly clean the caliper and the rotor when switching pads, and follow the proppa "break-in" proceedure for the new pads.

 

Yep, but how much braking power do you think is really lost?
I would be willing to bet not a lot and I personally would want longer lasting pads over a slightly quicker stop.
All depends on what you want in the end.
