So I was thinking how much I really want a bluetooth unit while on my bike. If I am running late to meet up with my g/f, or friends, or w/e, or want to place an order for food while on my ride home, etc. Prices seem sort of outrageous... So I figured I'd try my regular setup on the bike - just for S&G's. Setup...

Phone: LG EnV on the Verizon Network (phone is old!)
Bluetooth: Plantronics (not sure of precise model #) - $35 3 years ago
    Helmet: Scorpion EXO 400 Skullbucket

    Tested it last night...

Helmet on, bike off: Works great!

While moving: It was tolerable up to about 45-55 MPH with some louder "yelling" involved for my g/f to understand me & for me to hear her. I didn't exceed 55 MPH as the roads I was on didn't allow for it. I am thinking any bluetooth with extended mic, and louder speaker volume available will resolve this issue - no $250-$500 unit required.

Just wanted to post here - I'll keep updates going with any new units I end up trying.
