Just curious to see if anybody knows what my one bike is worth. 1984 VF750F around 50k miles 8.5 out of 10 condition. Recent work:
    -New chain & sprockets
    -New seat cover
-Rebuilt rear caliper and clutch slave
    -New peg rubbers
    -New rear tire
    -New signal lights
    -New battery
    -Rebuilt carbs last year.
I seen and ad for a person looking for this exact bike just a couple of hours from my place, I have e-mailed him and he is very interested in it, but I need to put a price on it.
I have only had it one year as it was my first bike back after many years away.
    I would like to move up o a VFR800, and found a 84 VF1000F for a rebuild project.
So any thoughts on what it is worth. Are these bikes going to go up much in value in the next few years.

I like would to do just that but I live in western Canada and our riding season is from April till mid October. And I am also working on a VF1000f restoration so I can not have that much money tied up in bikes.
But I do have a jet ski that only gets used one week a year. I might sell it this spring and put that money and the money from the vf750 toward a newer 800.
I was thinking $2000 for the vf750 would be a good price.

I was talking to a few of the bike shops as I was getting parts to do my 500 and they were telling me after I restore it I should be able to ask between $2500-$3000cdn for it. with yours being a 750 you might be able to ask more for it.

I think it is worth more than $2k, so start higher, go can always go down, but can't go higher!
It is worth what the prospective buyer is willing to pay and how emotional they are about getting a nice classic.
The fact that someone put out an ad for one means don't give it away.

Most people who look at bikes like yours tend to either be collectors or newbies looking for a cheap beater bike to start off with. I wouldn't expect you to get top dollar for it since most collectors seek examples with much less mileage than what you have. Unfortunately these 1st Generation Interceptors had known issues with the cams and rockers and this will scare away alot of people since your bike has fairly high mileage. There were plenty of these bikes made so don't expect the price to go up much over the years. My best guess at value is about $1500 to $2000 (U.S)
