Might as well introduce myself, it's the least I can do after getting so much info from this great community.
I picked up my 99 Viffer about a month ago and immediatley had to change out the RR, as the previous owner was nice enough to sell it to me with a dead charging system.
Luckily I was close to home when the battery died and it wouldn't start.
But alas, after much research on this site, you guys have armed me with the wisdom of a thousand VFR nuts :strong:
I've already installed the VFRness as well, great product, along with a ZG Sport Touring Windshield.
I'm loving the bike and can't wait for my high mount Staintune to arrive.

I try never to argue with somebody when I agree with them.

    Congrats on the new bike!

Love the bike more and more with every ride, now the fun begins (and wallet empties) upgrading the bike.

On my list is a Sargeant seat and maybe some heli bars or risers.

If you take your hands off the bars the bike has front end wobble around 50mph, which I've read is fairly common. I've ordered a new Metzler for the front and tapered steering head bearings (my existing bearing is just the slightest bit notched right now and the front Dunlop is about 3 years old and 7000 km, but lots of tread left), we'll see if that sorts it out.

Also on order is a 16t front sprocket, I find the bike is geared a bit too tall.

The bike is gorgeous, love the V4, and best of all it's considered a Sport-tourer by the insurance companies so the rates are good.

I think after you install the new tire and steering head bearings, the wobble will be a distant memory.
