The best map is one you have custom made for your bike. But if your like a lot of us you're either waiting to complete all of your mods or saving up for that custom map. For your bike I would suggest you either pick a VFR w/after market exhaust map off the power commander sight or run Cozey's map (its available on VFRD).

I used super glue (gel) on the grips. Seems to be holding well, I had the same problem as you with regular grip glue. So far the super glue has lasted two winters.

Honda actually sells a grip glue that is made specifically for the application. But, if crazy glue works, hell, why not?

ok got a PC III on and i downloaded the " cozy map " the thing is that still the transition to 6000 rpm to 7000 when the v-tec kicks in is still pretty bad . is there another map out there that smoothens that hit out ??? i know on the other vfr discusion there is a post where someone had a custom map done that smoothed out the hit but his map was done for a bike with catless headers and he recomends not to load the map unless u have catless headers .... so what would be the repocutions if i use this map , i tried it and it is smooth the way i like it . i just dont want to do any damage to my engine

If the map is for catless headers and you still have the stock headers then the map will cause your air/fuel mixture to be too rich. How rich, couldn't tell you. If its way to rich you'll see poor gas millage and possibly fouled plugs. If you are using Tinyminds map, it dumps a lot of gas in when you twist your wrist. I've got catless headers and it's still runs a little rich on my bike.

OK in jan of 09 i got a 02 vfr bone stock . since then i did a full gut of the exhaust , whitch i might add wasnt easy as i thought it would be ! i also cut out the little 3/4 inch pipes at the end . that made the bike sound real bad ass , like wow alost like a mini v8 . if u do a full gutting i recomend u cut the little pipes out .
i also did airbox mode removed the snorkle and secured the flap down and added a BMC airfilter .
i also added a power commander ,and did the cheap version of o2 sencors ( 330 ohm resistors , that really smoothed out the jerkyness of the bike in lower rpm , made it real smooth crusing at 4000 rpm with the gutted exhaust turns heads . at first i was using cozys map but i really dont like the jerking u get when the V-TEC kicks in , so i am using tinyminds map even though i am not using catless headers . i like the smoothness of the V-TEC .
then the last mod i did was drop to a 15 tooth front whitch in my opion was the best bang for the buck mod u can ever do , shit it really speed up bike , shure u loose top end , but honestly how often are u hittlng 250 kmph . i recommend everybody that has a 6th gen vfr DO IT u wont be disapointed .
so now for my review ( not that im any expert or anything but i am a average rider that like a well running machine , )

the exhaust sounds good so good in fact that i dont see a need to buy a aftermarket , i have had complaments on how much better mine sounds more then my buddy with remus ! the power commander isnt worth the 350$ if u get lucky like i did and get one for 150 $ then do it otherwise not worth it . i do recomend doing the o2 sencor eliminators the cheap way works fine cost me 3.99 and i have 3 extras that i passed onto my buddy. makes the bike smooooth ! the airbox mod gives it a growl and if u get a airfilter bmc do the flapper . but hey do the 15 tooth sprocket , now i can hit red line easy in 6th gear and when u hit 8000 rpm she climbs fast
