Best mod is seat.... Then suspension...Then exhaust....Air filter BCM or K&N. You can add in a power commander. If you get the PC then you can do the PAIR mod. But honestly the seat and suspension are the best bang for the buck and may as well do the air filter since it costs the same as OEM to replace.

More than that, save your change and get another bike with it.

Now get out there and get some tires for that thing.

My favorite mod on any bike is stainless steel brake lines. My favorite mod on my 2k 5th Gen VFR is the wiremybike harness and rectifer upgrade. The most significant (but costly) upgade is the suspension. Getting fork springs and shock spring for your weight is definately an upgrade that is worth spending money on. A good low cost upgrade is brighter headlight bulbs - I am still a fan of the Philips bulbs. Also, a gel pad in the stock seat (or a seat upgrade) is also well worth the money IMHO.

In my book the BEST first mod is a handlebar conversion to a Superbar.

I need to do my suspension, but the Sargent seat I got is AWESOME!!!!

Not trying to follow the pack here, but I would have to say suspension and seat were the two best I have done so far. The suspension changes alone have given the bike a different personality, for both commuting and sport riding!

The bike came with a Two Bros setup when I bought it, so I added the PCV to help things in the engine department. As far as other mods that seemed to make things better, Heli-Bars are great if you do a lot of commuting or touring rides.

    Cheers
