    Hey guys,

Been too busy riding the VF this spring and haven't been doing much work on any of the other bikes but now I'm taking some downtime to fix some issues I've noticed on the '84.

-It doesn't really like to idle until it gets warmed up nice - planning on re-doing the idle mixture and seeing if that helps any. I'm running #40 slows now so I'm hoping it's just too rich on that circuit as it runs absolutely mint above 1,500.

-Other issue is it's developed a noticeable tick, I believe from one or both of the front cylinders so I'm gonna check that out. It's been about 3,000km since I got it on the road last year so maybe the valves need to be snugged up.

-Fan bypass and fuel pump bypass switches are gonna go in this week as well.

    Cheers,
    Tony

Been a productive few days that's for sure.

After fighting with and discovering I have a vacuum leak around the forward carb boots, I set the pilot screws to 3.25 turns out and the bike seemed to run fine all day. New boots are on order and I'll tackle that when they come in next week. In the meantime, tweaked the sync and got them nicely balanced:

Next up was wiring a toggle switch in parallel with the fuel pump relay so if it ever packs it in on the road, I can still get home. Pretty simple and just loosely tucked it away under the frame support.

After the fuel pump was done, I wired in a parallel rocker switch so I can run my fans while sitting in traffic to keep the temps down. Had a few chances to try it out today in town and it worked great, temps were close to 90 and the temp needle only hit about half so I'd call that good!

Installed the Quad Lock mount that has been collecting dust for a few weeks, works awesome and am quite impressed.

All done, ready for tomorrow's ride

Out stretching the legs a bit, gorgeous day for a ride!
