2001 VFR...dim lights, both bulbs are on. Turn on the brights, only the left illuminates.

Do I just need to replace the right bulb?

    Thanks.

try swapping the bulbs and see if the problem follows the bulbs. If it does, then you know its just a bulb. IMHO, just replace both anyway, if one went out, the other may be about to go out too and if you're going to make the effort to change one, it doesnt take much more to do the other.

Oh, and save yourself some money and go to the auto parts store and get an H4 bulb, instead on the special (read: expensive) honda bulb. The only difference is one tab, and all you have to do is bend the bottom tab back on the H4 bulb.

Thanks Bweiss--got it done, got the H4, bent the tab (actually broke off) and it's like new. Pretty easy job, once I figured out how to get that pesky retainer clip back into place. :high5:

yea...that does take some practice, but at least you're good to go. Did you do just the one bulb?

I did do just the one bulb--had to get back to work. Other one was replaced last fall--I think it's good to go for awhile.

Now, Bweiss, if you could help me with my slight ticking sound that's gonna drive me to drinking (more).:drinker:

    2 questions...

    1) is there a thread for this ticking sound?
    2) do you really need an excuse to drink more?
