Last year I sold my white 93 VFR 750 and bought an 06 GSXR 750. While the GSXR was really fast it just wasn't that great of a bike for the street. Sold the GSXR this spring and this past weekend I picked up an 02 VFR with ABS, hardbags, MIG pipes, Bagster tank cover, 2 Bagster tank bags, Bagster seat cover, fender elimator kit, new tires and the bike only had 2k miles. I love this bike and I'm planning on making the trip up to Sturgis this year. I have two issues with this bike though.

    1. Hard starting. When I'm first starting it in the morning it doesn't seem like a fast idle or whatever they call it is kicking in. I thought with an FI bike you just hit the starter and let the computer kick the revs up a bit. When I do this on mine it starts and the rpms sit below 1k for a few seconds and never really come up like they would on my GSXR. Also, when it's warm I need to give it some gas when starting and I didn't ever have to do that on my GSXR. I would just hit the button and it would fire instantly.

    2. Surging. I noticed this when I was riding down the interstate holding the rpms steady. It seems like about 5-10 seconds after holding the throttle at a steady spot the bike would kind of fall on it's face and loose a few mph.

Love the site and I'm glad to be back. Let me know if anyone is heading up to Sturgis Aug 2nd and maybe we can hook up. I'm in Omaha, Nebraska.
