So, I did a search on the title Auxiliary Lighting, and came up empty handed except for one member who mounted some lights on the top sides of the front fairing. Large homemade mounts, not my first pick.

My question is now, has anyone mounted Auxiliary Lighting under the headlights (in the large area) and above the front fender. Looks to me to be a pretty good place to mount up a set of extra lights. If yes, can you please post a few images of the mounting and a brief report on what you ran into during the install, things to look out for, recommend, etc..

    Thanks
    Guy

    Hey Cinelliguy

Were you looking for auxiliary lights in specific or just some brighter lights in general. I added some LED Headlights to my bike and can't say enough good things about them. One of the best upgrades I have made yet. Very easy to do and not overly expensive. Here is a link to the thread. Take a look and see what you think. There are a bunch of suppliers listed in the thread but I think the one to use at this point is Lifetime LED's mainly due to the better warranty. At $149 they are more expensive than the supplier I used but I think the extra warranty might be worth it.

Here is a link to the Lifetime LED website. They also sell auxiliary LED lamps.

Got to go with Zoom-Zoom, LED is the way to go. On your bike you only need a set of H4 High/Low lamps. On mine, I had to buy another H7 set for the high beams. A little creative wiring, and I can run all three (turn on high beams in lower reflector as well)! No need for Aux lights. All three are on in my Avitar.

    Dead cool!

I will do this. Purely useful, safe and elegantly simple mod. zoom-zoom has now been elevated to The Sage in my VFR life.

    Love that guy.

I fear my head may not fit in my helmet any longer with compliments like that. Thank you though.

On a side note, the Lifetime LED's are also supposed to be brighter than the ones I installed on my bike and there is a neat video at the bottom of the page showing the Lifetime bulb and fan running while submerged in a tank of water.
