Arai Japan is adding two new Freddie Spencer replica helmets to it's lineup. The new helmets are called RX-7 RR5 in Japan, Arai RX-7 GP in Europe and Arai Corsair V in North America. I have NO idea why so many damn names but they're all the same helmet.









Then of course, you have a very similar and new Pedrosa edition. I'm NOT a fan of Pedrosa but it is a very nice looking helmet. IMO. :smile:

The only problem is that, it looks like these new Spencer helmets will only be available in Japan. Unless demand is really high, then it might be released elsewhere. Very odd selling practice since Freddie was an American racer.

Anyone have any contacts in Japan for a group purchase?

I've been looking for a new Helmet, and it would be nice to have something complementary to my RWB, and I do like the Pedrosa Arai Corsair - but at nearly $800 I will stick with my Nolan N-102.

But I am looking for that first helmet pictured. The link that I clicked on google led me back here to vfrworld. Imagine that. LOL.

 

The first helmet pictured is only available in Japan. But they are available through eBay.

The helmets at BikeBandit.com are the second helmet pictured. Which were sold in North America.

The first helmet colours are only available in Japan. Why? I have no idea.

If the slight colour differences are not a big deal, you can get them state side.

And yes, the damn things are not cheap.

 

The first helmet is also aval. In uk and is the rx-7gp look at helmet city uk good people and fast shipping, the corsair v is aval. In usa only in the rothmans color the second helmet pictured.
