Just picked up a 0.5oz bottle of Ideal Noalox from Lowe's for about $3 because Ox-Gard was unavailable. It's an anti-oxidant joint compound for aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-copper connections. It's a dark paste made of small zinc particles which bite into the electrical connectors.

Has anybody used this on their VFR? If so, did you clean the contacts before applying? How well did the Noalox work? I'm trying to permanently reclaim some missing voltage at idle and am hoping this will help.
