Anybody upload to YouTube?

I'm trying to upload a couple of race vids to Youtube. The upload I started and said it was going to take 4hrs to complete!? Is this standard? I'm on a fast line with a pretty fast pc. So whats the problem? Is youTube throttling the uploads to super slow? The vids are only 2 minutes max apiece. Am I doing something wrong?

 

I pretty regularly upload 30min-1hr videos to youtube, and even the long ones take just a few hours for me. Are you sure you have fast upload speed on your connection? Download speed isn't relevant.

 

I've got 1mb upload. Didn't know it took that long. I'll try again.

edit: Third time it worked good took about ten minutes.

 

Test with this http://www.speedtest.net/ I get download 78mb 19mb upload.

 

I use that periodically. I have 20mb down and 1mb up. That's all I need.

 

When my kids come round you need all the speed you can get! :smile-new:

 

I have a slow as f*ck upstream (1mbit), and a 1 hour 1080p video doesn't take anywhere near 4 hours to upload.
