Dave here, I own a 98VFR that I bought off eBay with no service history etc for a really good price, bought it standard and did a few bits to it early on

I took it off the road for a deep clean / parts upgrade over the winter and I am pretty close to having it back on the road

Looking forward to getting some ideas and tips off here

Welcome Probie. Nice looking ride you scored there. IS that first picture how it looked when you got it. If so, looks like PO looked after it cosmetically at least.

No, it was totally standard when I bought it, this was before I took it off the road having added the high level can and DB screen.. parts that have gone on over the winter are:

    Michelin road pilot 3 tyres
New EBC HH pads front and rear with caliper over haul
    Wheels powder coated
Forks blasted and sprayed by me, new oil and seals
    New wheel bearings and seals
    Tuturo auto chain Oiler
    Rear hugger
    12v socket
    Front fender resprayed
    Fairing bolt kit

I think that's about it... rear end is finished just got the front to fit

    Hi Dave

A warm welcome to the MadHouse!

That is a very smart looking ride. Hope you get it back together soon as winter seems to be out of here at last.
