I've been looking around the site for years on and off as my bike interest peak and subside (kids). I finally purchased a 2000 VFR about a week ago and joined the site around the same time. I was a little hesitant to admit purchasing a VFR for my first bike after years of sitting on the side line. I say this after reading some forum discussions on the VFR for a first bike.

I passed the written part of the test a few weeks ago and I have been cautiously riding for about a week. The first Motorcycle Safety Course I could enroll in here (Kansas City, MO area) will be in late September. I know everyone highly recommends that. I figure even if I only learn one thing it will be well worth it, although I'm sure I will learn a lot more than that.

I really enjoy reading everyone's post and experiences on this site. You all seem extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for all the information....
