Purchased an Alpinestar textile jacket when I got my bike and I have to say it was a great choice, the jacket has really good venting for hot summer days and an nice zip out liner that's warm enough for the 40 deg mornings that we get here in Georgia.

So far I'd have to say all the Alpinestar gear is well made, I'll be picking up a pair of their gloves soon.

Here is a picture of the newer style, mine is from last year but I got a good deal from the local cycle shop.

Yep, I wear Alpinestars leather from ankle to shoulder. Even my socks are A-stars. I have to use a differant boot, but my new set-up is hands down the best gear I've ever owned.
