went for the Akro hi mount slip on last week, and i know this may be old news to some of you, because most of us have already done one pipe or another already...but for those who are still shopping...i'm glad i waited and spent the extra $$ on the Akro, it is really beautifully made, looks and sounds awesome,,,install was simple, i removed the flapper cable completely and left the silencer in...since i put 17,000 mi on it stock, the improvement is easily noticeable...more power esp between 4000-6000 rpm (front wheel starts to float around 4k now in first w/less throttle) feels like it breathes easier and revs more freely...60-80 top gear roll on stronger too......made appt for Bazzaz Z-Fi install next week along with valve clearance inspect/adjust and new plugs...only 1 hr xtra labor for z-Fi since bike is apart !!!

I guess I will say it before someone else does. Where are the pics of it? High mount? I thought the 1200 would always be considered low mount.

It isn't a true high mount like the one's that come up by the seat. Most after market cans are a little longer than the stock can on the Gen 7. So if you are going to get the side cases and want a can, be sure to get one that the cases will clear. I got the carbon fiber Two Brothers Black series. Like the above post, it too is a quality piece that is light, very nice sounding and gives a seat of the pants performance improvement. It sets just a tad lower, unless someone points it out I doubt anyone would notice.
