    Hi Guys,

Just joined and have query regarding a suitable touring windscreen for a 98.

The standard screen that was on my 98 has stress cracks all over it. The (previously much loved) bike also came with a swag of touring goodies including a tinted MRA touring screen (the one with a fixed lip). I didn't understand why the old screen was still on the bike and I put the touring screen on yesterday and rode it today. What a difference, I can't believe how much I am being buffeted as a ride it , particularly in traffic even behind cars from 80 to 100km. I haven't been on the highway yet to see what happens over 100km, but I am so far not impressed.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with that screen and/or suggestions as to suitable replacements.

I ride a mix of 60 to 100km zones for 60km each day and take a highway trip monthly.

    Thanking you in advance

I had a Givi touring screen which gave me much better wind protection than stock (I also have helibars which put me up higher). But, I didn't like the looks of the givi so I'm running stock right now. I plan to switch to a ZG DB for better wind flow and better looks than the Givi. I haven't used the one you mentioned.

    Thanks for the response.

I also have the helibars and enjoy a little less pressure on the wrists.
It rained/showered in Canberra today, and I appreciated the MRA screens performance in keeping some of the wet stuff away. I will keep a look out for the GIVI if it performs better than stock as the stock screen is better for me than the MRA I currently have.
    Thanks.
