Howdy everyone, bought a clean 98 back in June gave it a full tune up tires and rode it around a bunch. decided to get an exhaust for it. Went with the delkevic full 4-1 SS with mini 8” Muffler. PN#COM0215. Install was pretty nonstressful, biggest thing is to take your time and have the exhaust supported below it as you are adjusting everything and lube on the connections so they slide on easier. I’m no master mechanic so I think it took me 6ish hours really taking my time and making sure it all fits snug. Think my only problem was the can not lining up correctly and trying to figure out why… come to find out that metal bracket they sent with the kit, yea you need that.. so after I put that on it fit much better. It looks great with it on and by god is it loud, almost too loud. I’ve taken two shorter rides and while it is a little bit droneish, personally, It sounds really good . I deleted the PAIR system way before the swap so im not sure if it would crack and pops as crazy on decel if it had it in. The computer definitely needs to relearn the map for the updated flow. Smells really rich. Would you guys recommend a power commander without a dyno sesh? Just get one and ride around? Or just run it as is and see what happens. Cheers and ill get a video of it tomorrow my iphones being weird..

    Welcome to VFRW!

First of all, when you get the chance, post up a photo and any relevant background of your relationship with this new-to-you VFR in the Introductions Forum area.

Regarding the computer, assuming you have the stock one, I don't beleave it is a "learning" one. As far as I know the factory set map cannot be changed. However, now that I am no longer in my youth, I've realized that I don't know everything. So I will defer to those who have more insight.
