I read a thread somewhere that said you could use a slip on off a 94 to 97 VFR on a 91 with some slight modifications. I cannot find anthing aftermarket for my 91 so I am thinking about buying a later year model pipe and having a muffler shop do some customizing. Anyone had any luck doing this?

I used D&D off a 94 - 97 model. The only diff between the 3rd and 4th gen is the mid-pipe between the headers and the can. I had an exhaust shop make a mid pipe for. Works great.

    91 exhaust

Thanks Vman, am I to assume you eliminated the collector chamber too or did you keep that on and just stub in after the chamber? One last question, did your D&D require jetting differently?

    Thanks Again

No, I did not eliminate anything. I just unbolted the exhaust and the end of the headers, just behind the footpeg where it comes ot from under the bike and had the muffler shop make a new piece. I wil try to get soem pics in the morning and post a close up. As for rejetting? I did not have it checked but it seems to run fine as is.

Here is the piece I am speaking of:

I painted mine black since it was just a piece of exhaust pipe and I wanted to protect it somewhat.

    Exhaust piece

Ok now I got it, looks pretty simple.
Thanks for the help, looks like I need to start shopping for a pipe for a '94!
