I just removed a ground effects lighting setup somebody had put on this thing and now I have holes everywhere. I guess it'll be OK its plastic. Question #1 Where letter A is what are the bolts sticking out on both sides of the bike for? Where letter B is there is a tray-like area does anything go here? Where letter C is there is a hook, what's it for? Question #2 There are a few of these bolts, can they still be had thru honda? Because a few of them are stripped. Speaking of, what size torx bit do i need, the T30 seems loose and the T40 too big? thanks vic
a b c I do think the length of bolt is for bungee. the tray is for owners manual/registration, and the metal strap is for wiring . Bolts you are on your own I try to find later model hardware that will work and order new or bone yard.
A are the famous "Frankenbolts. To remove the seat shroud, these need to be removed. The slots just above them are for the front tabs where the aftermarket seat cowl are inserted. Notice they are long. The assumption is that they are security for a bungee. B is stowage area for the grab handles should you care to remove them. They need to be removed is the aftermarket seat cowl is installed. Or anything that will fit in that space. C is a securing device for the wiring bundle for the rear lights. Not a clue on #2. Shoulder fittings of this type on the 90-93 and possibly later models are hex. Suggestion: Get a cover for your - battery terminal and your spanner for adjusting the chain seems MIA.. Concerning the space if the grab handles are not going to be used is to fill the space with a tire repair kit and a spare regulator/rectifier.
