Was riding today, went over 80 miles, stopped for a break and the battery was dead. Never had this issue before. Bump started it and I'm on my way. Any ideas? Bike runs fine
check connections first then check your RR and see if it is charging the battery..... good luck with it...
Must use a voltmeter to check charging voltage !! How old is the battery ?? Might need replacement ??
Bought a battery for it on the way home hoping it would get me there. Figured I had a stator problem and come to find out it was a half melted starter solenoid plug. Looks like someone cranked it for a long time at one point and melted it. Fiddled with it a bit and it starts fine. Wasnt charging because the stator looks like it goes through that plug to get to the battery. So not a big deal and all is well now. Got a new battery i didnt really need out of the deal too.
