86 vf500f Carb question

    Anyone know where this vacuum tube is supposed to attach to?

    Did you actually measure vacuum on that line, or could it be a breather vent line?

    i wouldn't be using clear PVC plastic tubing for fuel lines unless you want to catch your bike on fire and burn it up--get fuel-rated rubber tubing from any auto parts store.

    The fuel lines are metal tubes between the carbs. That should be a vacuum tube to the diaphragm chambers shouldn't it? It didn't even have a hose on that pipe when I bought it

    IF you found the time to read the service manual section on carbs you might have figured out that the unplugged hose was a vent line that must be open to atmospheric air. :eagerness:

    Doesn't it need to be attached to the aluminum air filter mount above? In the '84 carb it should be
