Like it says, tach was working fine then just stopped. I did a search with no luck, anyone want to point me in the right direction for getting it fixed?
Dead tach I just bet that this year tach is cable driven. Probably broken or the tach drive gear is broken. Check where the cable goes into the tach and the engine case. Usually as simple as remove broken one, lube new one and insert. Be sure it engages in both the tach and the drive gear. Worst case, cable is good, tach is broken. Larry
go to the fuel pump relay wiring near fuel pump on left side under sidecover.....the yellow wire (bullet connector) drives the tach, so check the connection for tightness,corrosion... tap the unit while engine is running to see if it's stuck
