Not a restoration thread by all means, but an update I would reccoment to anyone!
Starts off with my "Hector" that I bought new in '84. Mothballed for 11 years until my oldest decided it was time to ride asphalt as well as the dirt. His SV purchase got my ride out from under the cover! CBR rear shock to replace the frozen stock unit and a lot of TLC/cleanup along a Kerker 4 -2 exhaust system, here she is!

Gathering up parts and pieces was a challenge. E Bay and a couple other CBR forums provided the parts I needed. Was not looking for polished wheels but that is what I ended up with. Also scored a set of Dunlop skins at the same time.

    Ready to get started!

I don't know!? I think I like the polished look!?

Thats a 160 in there and not much clearance. Use stock axles front and rear.

CBR rotors are the same Dia. and thickness as stock VF's....

    More to come!!

Looking really good. The wheel swap is high on my list.

Is that a Gunfighter seat too? lost that on ebay early this week.

I just won a luggage rack on Ebay. Can you take some closer pics of it for me?

    luggage rack

Yep, that there is a Gunfighter. Was not on E Bay though!
Luggage rack was offered by Lockhart or GSM. Picked it up in '85 or '86.
Here is a pic with my phone (sorry not very good) as I was walking out the door this morning. I have it off and ready to get re powder coated.
