Mt problem is just like theflea2003's problem with his bike, but with some different details on things already done. won't start thread

I have a 2003 VFR and it will click click click and reset. Here's a list of things done recently to it:
-Had the wiring harness recall done in December.
-had the click click click problem 3 months later in March.
-changed out the battery. didn't help.
-one day later changed out my stator (it was fried).
    and changed out my R/R.
-she ran ok for 3 weeks (although noticed that she idled rough)
-now having the same click click click reset problem.
-basic easy to reach connections were looked at and everything looked ok.

    Questions:
    1. Do I need each component checked again for output voltages even though my mechanic just changed everything out?
    2. Could this be related to the wiring harness recall replacement harness?
    3. What other parts need to be checked that could be causing this?

Thanks for any help. I just want my bike to work.

question 1...yes, probably a good idea since it's relatively quick and easy to eliminate alot of possibilities.

question 2...yes it's possible...as I recall in addition to the new fairing harness the main battery cables are replaced.

question 3...I'm assuming the clicking you're hearing is the starter relay, near the battery. Is this so? Can you hear your fuel pump prime the fuel injection when you key on the ignitiion? What do you mean by reset? If the starter relay clicks it is almost always good (rare exceptions to this though), and it is getting a signal from the starter button. If I'm understanding your symptoms correctly the most common cause would be a discharged or failed battery. Next things to check are ALL the big cable connections...battery terminals...battery to starter relay cable...starter relay to starter cable...ground connection from battery to frame (I think it's located underneath the rear of the fuel tank on top of a frame gusset). BTW, many of the connections are undone whilst doing the recall. Next I would inspect the connectors that run along side the front frame rails for being completely pushed in and locked...and any sign of melting or heat damage. A starter failure would more likely cause just one firm and deliberate click.

A good tech who understands how to troubleshoot using voltage drop could probably locate this problem very quickly.
