DSC_0469.jpg Does anyone know if they make a mount bracket for the givi rack instead of bolting it to the passenger peg mount ? Probably am going to have to make one seeing that I haven't had the pegs on since I bought the bike. Wife will NEVER ride so whats the sense, also don't want to hide the SSS. Thanks mang

Givi uses the hard point to carry the lateral forces. The rack for 6th gens is the 076-pl166 and if you want the top case you need the 076-fz166. Then order the correct top plate for your chosen case. These numbers I know are for the monokey system, you will have to call tony at giviusa to get the correct numbers for the monolock or trek systems.
Im sure you could come up with another mounting point that wont be in the way. But you will have to engineer that yourself.

You can always cut down the rear peg mount so that all you have is the upper portion that the rack mounts to. I've seen a few pics of this type of mod. Just have them powder coated black so they blend in more. If you're not going to use the rear pegs anymore, I don't see cutting the mount down an issue. IMO, this is the better/safer way to go, as your home made version would involve more time/effort and who knows if it will hold up to the forces induced by the top case.

The forces wont be extreme, consider that its the counter balance that that link holds. A simple tube triangle back to that point would hold the forces. But still, im not sure of your fab skills so it may be best to just leave the pegs folded.

I dont know of any rack that givi produces for the 6th gen that doesnt use the footpegs, but the genuine honda one does completely use the grab rails so maybe this is worth looking at?

The honda bags dont put up with the same abuse givi does and are way more expensive. But it is an option.

My understanding is that GIVI actually started having problems with the top case mounts breaking at the middle mount point (just below grab rail), so they started adding in the top lateral support bracket (just above grab rail). (see photo in OP for reference points). So far I have had zero problems with my GIVI gear.

Was wondering while I was cutting off the peg portion on my passenger pegs, will there be any problem fitting this Givi rack with my Leo's ? I know OOTVS has TB which fit perfect----anyone have pictures. Decided on the 47 liter and hardware , score for $350....:whoo:
