I might be interested in a 3rd gen muffler. I am mainly interested in the part of it that bolts up at the swivel to the header so the muffler body can be wrecked or whatever as I won't be using it. The aftermarket stuff I see looks as though you need to cut off the muffler in order to bolt theirs in place and I want to keep my stock stuff in one piece, hence my search.

Not sure what aftermarket brand you are interested in, but Delkevic includes a link pipe for 3rd Gens.

That isn't the brand I was looking at, but does the link pipe have the apparatus at the end to bolt up to the header? The link pipes I see look like a slip on type of link pipe that would mean you have to cut off your stock muffler. I have also seen some nice looking generics that are universal and would require the muffler cut.

Those do indeed bolt on, but they aren't what I'm looking at. The one I'm thinking about would be a custom build so I need the flange that bolts on to the pivot at the header.

I have seen both of those before, but the first one is for a 4th gen and won't work and I'm still exploring options before I spend that much for something I'm going to cut up.

Sorry, the first one came up on a 1991 search. I didn't even look closely.

The second one actually has really good shipping.

Patience I guess is going to be needed for that perfect fucked one, "both" are the only two.

I have a stock muffler assembly if you're still interested. I switched to Delkevic last year. No use for the stock muffler anymore.

I am supposed to be getting one from someone making a streetfighter out of one, but he's not working on that part of the bike. I really don't need the muffler itself, just the swivel and the piece of pipe up to the muffler. Should be much easier to ship that way. I may pm you.
