Well I went to the Chicago cycle show last week end. The saturday event was hugely crowded. The Honda display was prominent and large as expected. I was a little disapointed to see the new shiny silver VFR sitting all by its lonesome with no support! Maybe the factory guys were busy helping all the people looking at the new Honda choppers! They did look pretty cool. The choppers are scheduled to comeout in 2010 and I bet Honda will sell a ton of em.in 2011 I bet we can a cheap used one with low miles! I wandered into the HD section and was ALMOST drawn back into the dark side. I had owned a 04 rubber mounted Sporty which was a nice bike in all fairness. I thought about a new Street Glide but 19 grand is a little steep. The factory will finance those bikes for 99 months! Well I came to my senses and will keep the Viffer !!
Glad you had a good time. I am sure that you were thrilled to see the DN-01 in person, as I was. So thrilling. There is your new VFR design money. I was disappointed in this year over last at the Long Beach Bike show....however, it was more about the camaraderie of meeting other VFRW members, than the show itself.
I dont have any pics of the new Honda chopper. It was featured in Cycle World. I agree with Derstuka, Honda should kick in a little cash maybe bust the VFR up to a 1000 or 1200 Supersport tourer. Choppers? from Honda? Maybe they watched a few too many episodes of those buffoons from OCC. Or maybe Sons of Anarchy!!
