Today I got the vfr out of the garage for its first day out all year. Needed to be jumped to get it going , I let it run for 2 min. Hopped on and 5miles down the road the red "f1" light came on as well as the oil light. Than the bike cut out. Bearing in mind I was at 1/4 throttle at 60 mph

I clutched and started the bike (starter button). Turned around to come home. Got home and I noticed 2 observations.

    1. A drop of water out of a pipe at the bottom fairing

    2. The oil glass (which was at the correct level when starting) was all cloudy

    I have pics

    What ye all think???

That was my first thought (only 12k miles on the bike)

It's cloudy as in vanilla , but the bike has being stopped for an hour and the level is back to normal and normal colour

The bike is due an oil change.. I didn't service it last year. (Only covered 1000 miles all year)

Change your oil. If you let it sit too long and not ride often and get it warmed up, water will accumulate in the oil and froth like that when you do finally take it out. Double check your coolant just to be sure it isn't a head gasket but mostly you need to change the oil and ride it so it gets to a good operating temp fairly regularly.

Change the oil, fully charge your battery and ride. If you run into the same issue report back.

Since this is the first ride of the year, I would do what they say... change the oil. Water condenses inside the engine when it sits over time and a milky sight glass is very common. Those three lines that come out of the bottom are vents. One goes to the gas tank and should vent it. I can't remember what the other two are for off the top of my head but I think one is for the emissions stuff.
