ok,could,nt help it but have bought an ohlins rear shock from a 98 blade model number HO802.My 98 vfr 800 needs a HO801.Main differance being the blade shock is 10 mm lower than the vfr one I need,I know ohlins parts are interchageable as the units are both HRC,s so can be interchanged,ie rod length and eye end,s.My question is it will lower the rear end but can I compensate that by dropping the front forks 10 mm ,a well known vfr front end mod or will I have to shim the rear shock up by a few mm.Any thoughts and comments much appreciated apart from the....SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE RIGHT ONE....so any help let me know-cheers...kenny. :-*

Use a linkage (dog bone) from a CBR 900 and it will raise you back up 20mm which will reult in a net increase of 10mm using your shock
