    Hello,

I am looking at getting a new head gasket for my 1983 VF750F. I would like to get a copper one, but Lani at Copper Gaskets Unlimited does not have the 750 pattern, only the 500 and 1000. Does anyone know if the 1000 has the same heads/block with a bigger bore? I have also tried to use my google powers to find out how thick/thin a head gasket to buy and bump the compression safely, has anyone clayed their engine to find out how much room we have to work with?

The factory gasket is a quality item in my opinion and I would not recommend exploring changes to an engine of that vintage.
