Ebay has one seller, VFRChuck, who happens to pop up with 'em from time to time... I just picked up the latest one, it had only been on for 8 hours... I can give ya his email, but I recommend just watching ebay cuz the guy is notoriously difficult to get hold of...

Keep in mind that when you buy these replacement parts new, they are usually unpainted. You will need to add that to your budget. It will be difficult to come across a stock tail section that would be just a bolt on. Just keep checking eBay and Craigslist.

Cobalt Racing makes a solo seat tail and a 2 seater tail that the stock seat will fit on. both are awesome pieces, and far better construction than the stock bodywork.

if you're needing a seat to go with it, I've got an extra in pristine condition sitting in my garage that I posted on classified here and also on Craigslist. Needed the cash to put into my bike, otherwise I'd hold on to it just in case. Also have an extra muffler set in good shape.

if you look at my bike youll find a good example of Cobalt Racing's solo seat tail section for the 1st gen VFR interceptor....it comes with the seat and bump pad, and i have to admit, the seat itself is wider and somewhat more comfortable than the stock seat is!
