I am in the process of scavenging ebay and Clist for parts and refitting my 750r.
I am on the second fairing set "ouch", going on 3rd. looking at Colbalt FG sets. But I have had my "smashed fuse box" ty-wrapped under the windshield for a year. Scored a replacement off ebay !! (21.00 w/shipping)
BUT it doesnt see to fit ... The "smashed and new" are same form factor .. but the way I remember it going together .... stacked into the ignition / triple tree ... doesn't add up.
Seems simple but it was a three Margarita nite and my mad skills seemed to let me down. I have factory manual ... no help there.

SO I have the forks out, (for revalve and seal) the order of assembly and how the fuse assy. sits into the triple tree is my dilemma. I can take a pic tonite ... but some of you wise VFR's will be able to talk this cat down out of the tree.

BTW - The 1986 750 eats othe vfr's for breakfast. every time !

    Thanks VFRSally

    Sally,

    I think so.
I believe the two inset nuts are fastened from the backside.
I'll stand on my head when I get home and have a look see.

The only damage to that part of the bike that I am aware of is the snapped off fork tube.
Speedo has a doinked edge too.

The fuse block is secure. I'll give it the hairy eyeball later.

I have more photos. E-mail? Some other way if you think I'm a stalker?

    Ian,

If I can determine that they are good I will.

After all, you turned me on to this site from the ZRXOA

The rad has a scuff/dent on the LH side of it.

    No green blood coming out.

I can get some pics to you.

    Ian,

Here's what I got for pics right now.
I think that's the fairing bracket you want.

I can get more pics if you want em'.

    Need anything else?
May as well fill a Christmas box for my Cousin Ian in Canada. Eh?

I'm keeping a few things. But most is up for grabs.

Hey Johnny, I'd like to have your chain guard and associated fasteners if they're not screwed up too bad. PM me.

If you want help or reading material on cafe chops for old CB's you need to go to Single Over-Head Cam 4 Forums - Index

It got me on the path to getting my old CB750 running properly when I started having problems.
