I think I'll take "kennybobby's" suggestion that my posts about this bike should be in one place. So here it goes:

    RPM hang at 3000
Turned out to be loose carb boot clamps.

    Exhaust popping
Fixed exhaust leak and the popping went away.

    Running rough
    Current issue.

Took the carbs off today. Will get around to cleaning them when I have time.

    Petcock

When I took the tank off I notice that fuel was still drizzling out with the lever in the off position. Installed a nos petcock today and that took care of it. Just incase a bad needle and seat were causing problems I bought kits with float valves. Should be here this week.

Another note: I read up on softening carb boots. Some said boiling them would do the trick. There were a ton of recipes for wintergreen oil and Xylene.

I boiled them and then soaked them in "Rubber Renue" which contains both chemicals. Barely noticeable improvement.
