I was helping my friend do fork seals on his son's '84 VF500F today and we discovered that the right side fork tube is bent. Actually things were bent enough that the seal "backup ring" wouldn't even pull out of the slider. We had to use compressed air and pressurize the fork to pop the seal out because we couldn't "slide hammer" the upper out of the slider! This bike has NOT had an easy life! We got it back together and it seems to ride and drive OK, but when working the right fork leg by hand off the bike it does bind up a fair bit. So, as kind of a shot in the dark, I thought I'd ask if anyone here has a good right side fork for his bike, and if so what you'd need to get for it? Any help is VERY much appreciated, thanks in advance!! -Paul
