Yes, I think it would be! That's a terrific price! For that price, I wouldn't quibble, I'd just go get it! He's obviously getting nothing for selling the bike. I've had mine for about 6 weeks now and am not disappointed at all.
Keep searching Cycletrader they might go lower as the rest of the 2012's are coming out. Could tip the scales in January or December and knock another 500 from the price if trends remain the same as nobody buying. Suzuki got bitchin deal with there GSX1250 you get hard bags for 200 bucks but its not the VFR. That would make me move on the bike if Honda did something like that.

I agree. If you've got a deal like that on the table, take it and run. It is a $16K bike! I can't imagine it going for much less than that.
I called the dealership they sounded Very cool in AZ. I hate the way state laws work. Unless the bike was transported by a freight line I would have to pay California State Sales tax in addition to the Arizona tax. Best Price I have on bike in CA is 13,900OTD. Will be going San Diego to pick up the bike this weekend if all the bank paperwork gets done at my credit union. Honda wanted to leave me with a 15.99% interest Lockheed my credit union came in at 7.99% Big chunk of savings there.
Since the bike already meets CA emissions, then WHY does CA have this requirement? The only advantage I can see is that the dealers will get just about retail for anything they sell. This hurts the consumer and does not appear to have any reasoning behind it. What am I missing?
The only thing good about California is the weather. All else pretty much sucks. Sales tax pretty high general school education sucks. Our roads are good but traffic sucks. Probably someone in the state legislator owned a bunch of car dealerships and came up with this scam to keep people buying cars in CA and motorcycles just fell in suit.
You are fine, as long as the bike meets CA requirements. What you are going to want to do is find out where the sticker is that says that the bike meets CA requirements. If memory serves you can find that out in either the owner's manual or the service manual, I beleive the latter. I have done it a couple of times, sometimes it is right on the frame under the seat, so you just pop the seat. For one of my VFRs it was actually on the airbox cover, which meant I had to remove the gas tank in the inspection line at the DMV...
Spike the Carb isn't the issue its the double tax that you will get if you buy a bike from AZ and don't put it through a shipping company then you have to pay tax here on top of the AZ tax.... But if you put it through a Shipping line and ship it out of state AZ don't make the dealer collect the tax. Would have saved about a 1000 dollars if my credit union would make the loan on that but they were like no dice. I got tired of hunting and grinding Dealerships on pricing. I have been looking into this and the rule just a couple of years ago was that a vehicle had to be 2 years old or had to have 7500 miles on it period. I have been reading the rules currently and have not seen the 2 year part listed anywhere so you may be ok but I would check to be sure. There was a member with an 07 that purchased in Nevada that was selling cheap because of this a couple of years ago and he could not get California title.
