1,000 Birthday !

Finally got the first 1,000 miles done on the VFR, only took 11 months !

Congrats, great pics! I have a serious question though - how could it have possibly taken you so long to hit 1,000 miles? I mean you live on the Isle of Freakin' Man!!! :glee: Most of us here would probably give our left nut just for the chance to ride there!

Yeah I know, it's a terrible sin and something I intend on improving !
Although I do tend to be a fair weather rider and those days don't come around often enough over here !

 

Hey Kristian, pretty sure that is coming out of Kirk Michael - a coincidence !?

 

You have to remember that every time he has left his house he will be on 'good roads'. After a while (30+ years) different scenery is sometimes more interesting.
He doesn't get traffic (except for about 5-6 weeks a year when most islanders leave the island), congestion, parking issues, hardly any vehicle crime, can do the whole island on 1 tank of fuel (driving like miss daisy).
He can leave his house go onto fantastic roads, be out for a hour & only have driven 40miles....

Every time I see a white RC79 I go green with envy. There just weren't any white ones near me when I bought!

Put some fuel through that motor! You should be five times that by the end of spring!

 

Haha - well then please let me know if you would like me to fly over and help you put some miles on her! And if you're ever in O-Town I'll be happy to let you ride my bike around...um...well...my subdivision! :glee: Or maybe even the lame-o "Tail of the Gator" road :witless:

I hit 1000 miles within my first week of ownership.
nearly 1 month right now and 2500 miles.

 

I'd love to ride the TT route (not at 200mph) and The Ring sometime. Not very likely to happen. YouTube will have to suffice. I live in some pretty awesome mountains to ride so no real complaints.

 

What DA is saying is that he could do the course at 300mph. He is a badass..

 

It's my bikes 1st year out tomorrow with 3856 on it! I put 600 in as fast as I could- to get past the break-in so I was not on a ride of distance to do the break-in service out of state or out of town! I average about 3000 a year. I would use it as my main ride if I did not have to wear a suit to work( Riding jackets do a number on dress shirts;-)). But, I also like the fact I ride to get away from work so it may be best to cage it to and from work.

I'm really pissed that I am not and the Reggies roadhouse ride right now or meeting up with A.M in Southern Utah! And then my second option of riding back to Flaming Gorge resevor over the fourth was just cancelled today because I got notice by mail today that I am summoned for Jury Duty for the Month of July if needed! I should have lied and said that I had a felony within the last 3 yrs not expunged!;-) :chaingun:
