I don't think so. I've got one and it a very solid machine. With that kind of mileage it is pretty much still a brand new bike. I'd try to focus on the condition of it and determine how well it was taken care of. Is it from the original owner or a dealer? Try to ask the right questions such as when was the oil changed, what modifications have been done, etc. Good luck and report back your findings.

I have an 07, and the only thing to watch is the little plastic clips underneith. they hold the fairings together. Have the guy take the fairings off and look at the front left of the bike, the ECU and R/R is there, look for signs of failure, melted connectors, crispy wires, cut and spliced wires. the horn may not work due to the location is really wet when riding in wet weather so dont mind that, just get a couple if FIAMMs no mods required.

find out if the return to dealer trip was made (most of us didnt do, didnt care to do as we are capable wrenches)

if they have the warranty papers, if not which dealer did he buy from, you will want these papers!
what did he normally run for fuel, the guys i ride with up here will almost put anthing into the tank, 91 octance(higher is better, just dont use 100LL), no alcohol is what this bike loves.

basically look at everything, its low miles and is a honda, but make sure your not buying someone elses headache.

that all said, i love mine, an once you ride a vfr, you'll understand! once setup right they handle like a dream, and can keep the pace rather well with liter bikes.

I have 11,000 on my '07 I bought at the end of '08. Still runs Perfect!!! One set of tires and normal maintenance. You may want to check the tires at 5200 mi., if original, they are getting old. My originals went 6700 mi.

Buy It!! If you maintain and don't crash it will last forever!
