    Hey all,

I dig my Pearl White 06 VIFFER!! Other than the standard car cleaners, is there a cleaner that is specifically made to clean road grime and brake dust from the faring without scratching?

    Thanx.....This bike kicks ASS!!!

The Honda wax/cleaner is probably some of the best stuff out there! Quick and easy! Does a good job of eating off bug specs and road grime while also protecting and shining. I love it!

Turtle Wax Carnauba for real wax job
Blue Magic for chrome and aluminum polishing
Honda wax for quick and easy
Armor All for seat and other rubber

The honda pro polish is "da bomb"! I use it everywhere, even wheels, windshield and my helmut. I know some Harley guys that use it.

    Here's my $0.02.

Off-topic....DO NOT ARMORALL ANYTHING! Sorry 994, not being a meat-head. Tire manufacturers universally damn products like Armorall for promoting sidewall degradation. Most other soft plastics and rubber bits are control surfaces and should not be made slippery.

Stubborn bug guts and road grime? Get a towel wet, not soaking but better than damp, and hang it over the offending area. Come back in 10 minutes and wash with soapy water like you would a nearly clean bike or helmet. Easy!

The closest motorcycle shop to me is a Kawasaki dealer, so I end up using a lot of their stuff. I can recommend the Kawasaki Klean and Polish, I use it all over the bike and my helmet, get the bugs off really easily. I'd imagine it's similar to the Honda Pro Polish, but I'll have to try some of it to compare.

Honda Cleaner / Polish or Plexus. I like Plexus better.

This works great.Use this method all the time.:first:
But I use plexus after.Remember the less water you use the less chance of rust starting on inner parts.
I do wash my bike once or twice a year. And use mild Auto soap.Remember dont use dish soap due to it cuts grease. Not good for bearings ext...

Regular automotive products always worked fine for me. I kinda like lemon pledge for my gauges, and it smells good too. 409 cleaner gets the lower stuff clean and engine shampoo for the real heavy gunk. Mcguires yellow wax and Menzerna polish for the scratches.

Oh yah, regular hot water gets tuna based cat barf off real nice, don't ask me how I know but just take this word of advice, Never forget to put the cover on after a ride!:lever:
Does your cat like to sit on your bike? I don't know what the attraction is but mine love it.

I use the hhhooonddaaa polish. Sorry, pics got to me!!! Some states do not allow the polish, do to the gas the can is charged with. You can not buy the stuff in NH, but is available in MA and CT. Here is a pic of the polish.

OUr cats crawl under my cover to sit on the seat. There is always cat hair on the bike if I cover it. When it's cool at night the bike with a cover is a little warmer, I think.
