I have new stator, retifier and ballastic battery installed and charging is still only at 13.0 and doesn't seem to go up even at 6k rpms. I charged battery up to 13.4 on charger and after about 500 miles battery is down to 12.84. What could be causing this.[IMG]

I hereby declare the 2017 electrical Gremlin season well and truly open!:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:

Do the drill - see post #9 on this thread.

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/39277-How-to-fix-common-regulator-Stator-failures

If you wade through that enormous thread you will see these things are notorious for electrical gremlins. (Admittedly same problems found on many other Honda models). My guess is your replacement RR is dead. You did not say what make of replacement parts you fitted - but as that thread makes clear there are a lot of crap Chinese RRs and stators which won't last. The safe answer is to get replacement parts from roadstercycle.com the folks there know their stuff and I have not heard of any of their kit failing. PS check the loom especially stator-RR and connections by the battery for any sign of melting.

Good luck and Let us know how your get on.

Also make sure to check if your bike has had the wiring recall done.
I had mine in a month ago and they replaced the main and the sub-harness for free. I should actually do the drill and upgrade the wiring too now that I am starting with nice new wires and connectors.
