Whats the best way to drain the tank by yourself without just dumping gas all over yourself?
But the bike is running fine, and fuel consumption is what it should be... can it still be a vacuum leak when everything is running fine?
Interesting... I will try the screwdriver tonight Tnx
Have 02 VFR. Just changed thermostat, and fuel pressure regulator. Bike is running right and gas mileage has been fixed. Well, when I started...
Had same exact issue.... thermostat was bad (explains low temps), and fuel pressure regulator was replaced... problem fixed
Anyone has a used one laying around collecting dust? I m saving every penny for a new track bike ))
So, both rads heat up at the same time from cold. Temp barely reached 160 today. It was 70 degrees out air temp. So we agree it must be thermostat...
I will check the temps closely next time I ride. 160 was a guess. pretty sure it was that when I looked last.
Air temp reading on the dash seems to be accurate. O2 censor going wack?
Would I get a FI light if electrical system is affected by a low voltage?
Temp is good. 160 on cool days, 210 in heavy traffic when 100 degrees out, before fans come on
Electrical is probably rectifier going bad, but that doesn't worry me that bad. Gas mileage is whats killing me. Trying to save up for a race bike...
What in the world can cause a stock 2002 VFR800 with only 13K on the clock to get 120 miles to a full tank. And this is taking it easy on a...
I have same exact issue + bad gas mileage. Let me know what you find out. I will keep this thread in mind as well
Atlanta to San Fran and back in 10 days. My buddy Mark kept going North 2008 - Across America on two wheels See older posts for VFR...
My thoughts on the subject matter are the same... No need to worry about valves until later. Time for a 5500 mile road trip ))
How crucial is to check you valves at recommended 16K. Are the rarely out of adjustment? I am having to wait till 20K on mine. Any thoughts?
It all depends on your weight... I am 140 without any gear, and I have both front and rear on its softest setting and it feels like track setup...
And coming from a TZ125 I thought 02 VFR brakes were pure sheit :) Its all what you are used to
I will probably end up unlinking the brakes, just not what I am used to - over engineered honda crap. Softer springs will be on order soon, and a...
